The Migraine World Summit is the first of its kind in the world which gives migraine sufferers direct and free access to the world’s top migraine experts

South Africa’s own Dr. Elliot Shevel, who is also Health24’s Headache expert, has been invited to be an expert speaker at The Migraine World Summit, a global online event running from 15-20 April 2016.

He will join 30 of modern medicine’s most renowned migraine doctors, researchers, and professors from world leading institutions such as Harvard Medical School, the Mayo Clinic, Stanford Medical, the Cleveland Clinic and the International Headache Society (of which Dr Shevel chairs it’s local affiliate, The South African Headache Society).

The summit is the first of its kind in the world which gives migraine sufferers direct and free access to the world’s top migraine experts, an opportunity that would otherwise incur prohibitive consulting fees of thousands of dollars, months of being on doctors’ waiting lists and would require long distance travel.

“Migraines are an under-diagnosed, under-treated and under-funded disorder experienced by a billion people worldwide. That’s why we’re hosting an international summit, to help reduce the global burden of migraine,” says summit host, Australian Carl Cincinnato.

“Support for migraine patients and their families is currently inadequate, we need better access to resources, doctors, experts and qualified specialists.

With better support, information and treatments, patients can better manage their condition and live a better life,” says Mr Cincinnato who is working with some of the biggest health companies like Johnson & Johnson for this cause…
